The characters in "Working Title" embody the DIY spirit that we love. In honor of that spirit, we will be featuring a different DIY (Do-it-Yourself) project every Tuesday
Camera Stabilizer (steadicam)
Made this camera stabilizer (steadicam) about a year and a half ago and it proved to be pretty awesome. It cost roughly $20+. I bought everything from Home Depot, and actually picked up the wood for this in the trashcan of home depot.
I followed the design and steps from the youtube channel Indy Mogul: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NDsEFy5Iww
If you have time I suggest going through their channel, they have a TON of really cool DIY videos for filmmakers!
Camera stabilizers have a learning curve to them, but it doesn't take too long to see some dramatic differences in your shots!! And as always, feel free to ask questions!
Happy stabilizing!
